Why Install Gate Fall Arrest Cables?
Our new range of DELGA certified safety rope kits for swing and sliding gates are a safety must, for every size and type of gate installation.
This simple safety device fixes to the gate post around the gate hinge areas to prevent the gate falling in case of hinge failure. This kind of certified stainless steel cable is required to bring all gates in line with the latest regulations stated in the DHF code of practise TS 011:2019 and EN12604. We recommend fitting the safety cables around both gate hinges, top and bottom. The DHF code will shortly become part of the Building Standards and states that all swing and folding gate systems produced since 2018 must be protected against hinge failure, such that if a hinge fails the gate will not drop nor move more than 300mm off it vertical axis. All gate installers and maintenance companies should upgrade any gates that they look after.
GIBIDI DELGA certified safety Fall Arrest Kits
Our fall arrest safety cables are circa 2000kg breaking strain and are made from 6mm AISI 316 stainless steel cable. Each kit has its own identification serial numbers, making them totally unique in the market. Available un-sheathed or sheathed (with drain) with either bright zinc plated (BZP) or stainless steel (S/S) threaded rod. BS EN12604 (UK CA12604) Compliant.
All Kits Include:
- 1No. 6mm safety rope in AISI 316 S/S
- 1No. M10 threaded rod L=250mm (BZP or S/S)
- 2No. M10 S/S lock-nuts
- 4No. Large S/S 29x10 washers
Kit Options
- Cable lengths: 400, 500, 600, 700 or 800mm
- No Sheath cable, with either a BZP or S/S rod
- Sheathed cable, with either a BZP or S/S rod
